About Bremen Partnership for Education
The Partnership was born when Rose Shoemaker, an involved Bremen parent with a successful background in foundation building for schools and hospitals, set her sites on BPS. With close collaboration with the administration and the enthusiastic support of the school board, the Partnership offered their first round of grants in the Spring of 2024. The Partnership helped secure a food insecurities grant for the Bremen Bags program and lent financial support to the Scholastic Book Fair in that same year.
How we do it
Through private and corporate donations, the Partnership directs funds to the school through vetted and approved projects. Most commonly, these funds are awarded through grant requests from BPS teachers and staff. We also respond to immediate needs from school-sponsored programs that may not be accounted for in the general school budget.
Why we do it
The school is the foundation of our good town and Bremen takes pride in the quality of the education offered to our children. State funding and tax-generated dollars simply aren't enough to give our educators and administration the resources they need. This is where our community and businesses in collaboration with the Partnership can make a difference.
